Boy did time fly by.
One second I am relishing the fact that I was going to be able to attend E3 for the first time since 2010. The next, it’s Tuesday afternoon, I am rush ordering business cards and still haven’t packed for my trip, which begins early morning Sunday.
While sites such as IGN, Gamespot and others will be covering the biggest and best, there will no doubt be a number of titles that will not get as much press as they may deserve. Hell, you may want my opinions on some of the potential blockbusters coming up soon as well.
There is where YOU come into play:
I will be on the convention floor all three days, from open to close. I would love to take a look at as many titles as possible (I have a list of four “must play” titles, though Shenmue III was confirmed to not be at the show, so I guess three now), but I would love it even more if I could focus on certain games that YOU guys and gals want to know more about. There are a couple of ways you can do this:
- You can follow me on Twitter and use the hashtag #e3gala to leave suggestions of games I should cover (as well as follow along throughout E3 as I will be posting with that hashtag as well) Probably the easiest way to be heard
- You can leave a comment on this article, as I will be on this site quite a bit throughout the next week and change
- You can email me at galarianvaloran@gmail.com; I will be accessing my email almost as much as Twitter
During my first E3 trip in 2010, I wrote previews for over a dozen games, from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, to SOCOM 4 via Move, with a bit of Marvel vs Capcom 3, right on through to Fallout: New Vegas. As noted earlier, the site I used to write for, Chocolate Lemon, does not exist anymore, so the only way I can show off many of my older pieces is through archive.org, but at least you can soak in a bit of what I was able to do in a short amount of time.
It’s beyond cliche to say “it’s been one helluva journey”, but man, it really has been. It’s a thrill to be back doing what I love with a passion, and to be able to cover E3 once again? It’s like my dream became a reality for a second time.
Stay tuned to Galarian Gaming, as well as my Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/jas0nvelez) and my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/GalarianGaming) for real-time coverage of the 2017 E3 expo, as well as previews and impressions throughout the coming weeks!
